In the UK, engineering careers offer some of the most exciting jobs for people to enter. Engineers can specialise in a variety of different sectors, such as aeronautical, defence, power generation, manufacturing, and automotive.
Apprentices are vital for the future of engineering in that they bring innovative, fresh ideas which helps find solutions to a range of problems and we'll help businesses address the skills shortages within their industry. Vision West Nottinghamshire College works with a wide range of engineering-based companies in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire to produce, through effective apprenticeship solutions, the highly-qualified engineers of the future. It’s apprentices such as these who will become future leaders in disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, motor vehicle and fabrication and welding.
At Vision West Nottinghamshire College, investment in providing first-class education and training facilities was made in 2014 by the opening of the Engineering Innovation Centre based in Sutton-in-Ashfield. The centre offers provision for apprenticeship education and training in engineering, motor vehicle maintenance and fabrication and welding. Options are available from Level 2 to degree level, and solutions are implemented on a company by company basis.
